Success Story – Nov – David Clark
Midlands Health and Rehab would like to acknowledge a very special resident, Mr. David Clark. Mr. Clark came to Midlands Health and Rehab after a 2 week stay at Providence Hospital with the diagnosis of chronic heart failure.
Mr. Clark initially had a pacemaker, but had it removed due to a Pseudomonas infection. Some of his other health issues included: atrial fibrillation, sick sinus syndrome, bradycardia, and orthostatic hypotension. Upon arrival to Midlands, Mr. Clark was debilitated, required a great deal of assistance with mobility, and his blood pressure would decrease with standing secondary to orthostatic hypotension. The nursing staff and physician were both notified and worked together to stabilize his blood pressure.
Mr. Clark remained focused as he continued to work hard during therapy sessions and was able to return home with his wife at a supervisory level with home health therapy services.
