Success Story – Sept – Mr. Furtick

Midlands Health and Rehab would like to shed light on a very special resident, Mr. Kenneth Furtick. Mr. Furtick came to Midlands after an eight-day stay Prisma Baptist Parkridge with a diagnosis of chronic atrial fibrillation. Upon arriving to Midlands, he was extremely debilitated, required maximal assistance with functional mobility tasks and activities of daily living. Unfortunately, he also had other health concerns to include: acute kidney failure, benign prostatic hyperplasia, hypokalemia, and hypertension.

The interdisciplinary team devised an individualized treatment plan to address Mr. Furtick’s therapy goals and health concerns. Mr. Furtick gave 100% whenever he came to the therapy gym. At times, he would return multiple times a day. His hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm paid off, he has currently met all his goals and is currently seeking assisted living residency. We are very appreciative to have Mr. Furtick at Midlands Health and Rehabilitation!
